Mr France is a lawyer by profession and has spent more than 30 years working in various hydro projects in his home country New Zealand. He joined the Project in 2010 as Lands Manager but became Project Manager in late 2011 after the departure of that post holder.
Mr Conning is an electrical engineer by profession and has had experiences in establishing micro hydro projects around the Solomon Islands for 10 years before joining the Project in 2011 as the Deputy Project Manager.
A lawyer by profession, Miss Radford joined the project team in late 2013 to provide legal support in the acquisition of the project’s 420ha core land. Before that she was a volunteer with the Public Solicitor’s Office working in the LALSU (Landowners Advocacy Legal Support Unit).
Mr Gorapava is a former Lands Officer who rose to the Under-secretary level before joining the Project in 2011. He has spent more than 20 years in the Ministry of Lands and Mapping serving in different roles and responsibilities.
Mr Tavalia is a high school teacher by profession and was involved in a few NGOs doing Community Liaison work before joining the team in late 2011.
Mr Maka’a was a broadcaster, journalist, writer for more than 22 years before joining the Project in early 2011. He was Programs Officer for the National Disaster Management Office before joining the project.
Mr Telei has joined the project in 2012. Before joining he was a farmer. Previous to that had worked in the Honiara-based regional organisation Forum Fisheries Agency as member of the Finance team for 3 years. Telei had also worked in various NGOs and government Projects and the Office of the Auditor General.
Mr Siapu is a mechanical engineer by profession who joined the project office in early 2011. He is now the hydrological officer after he gained much needed training in New Zealand in 2012.
Ms Tamaika was an Executive Personal Assistant Registrar in the High Court of Solomon Islands Office before joining the team as Assistant Executive Secretary. She is now the Assistant Finance Manager of the Project office.
Miss Fugui was a former Community Disaster Risk Management Officer for the National Disaster Management Office before taking up legal studies with the University of Solomon Islands. She joined the Project office in 2013 as Assistant Executive Secretary.
Ms Deli is the Project Office’s handy person managing the daily cleanliness of the office and assisting the AES. She joined the Project Office in later 2012.
